GENERAL INFORMATION

Services provided:

  • Counselling - help in changing the way you think, feel or behave in a particular situation or situations where you experience difficulty, generally taking from 1 to 8 sessions.
  • Psychotherapy - longer term treatment (two months to three years) to resolve more deeply seated problems, often originating in childhood.
  • Couples counselling - Working with couples who wish to improve their relationship or whose relationship is ending and who wish to part with dignity.

Frequency of sessions:

Most people find that one fifty minute session per week is sufficient. However under some circumstances clients may wish to meet with me more or less often.

Who sets the agenda?

I will work with you to develop a contract which sets out what you want to change. Mostly you will tell me what you want to change. Sometimes I may make suggestions. We can, of course, renegotiate our contract at any time, if you realise that there is a more urgent issue.

What techniques will we use?

I have trained in Transactional Analysis, Gestalt, Psychodrama, Couples Counselling and dream work. I make available techniques from any of these modalities depending on your interests and the nature of the problem we are resolving.

 FEES

How much will it cost?

  • My normal fee for an individual is $125.00 per session (including G.S.T.).
  • If you do not pay each session at the time of the session (e.g. if you want me to bill your organisation) the fee is $140.00 per session (including G.S.T.).
  • If you are covered by an EAP scheme this pays the full charge.
